The Highs and Lows of Sebring

The second weekend of the US Majors Tour took place last weekend at historic Sebring International Raceway. It was also the first race for the Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA Super Tour. CCR had an up and down weekend. Paul Schneider was not able to build on his win from Homestead after his FE car blew an engine during practice, making the start looked doubtful. However, the team persevered, had an engine overnighted and was able to make it to grid, albeit starting from the back. Paul rallied to finish 5th and 4th in the weekend’s two races and collect valuable points for the season championship. Clay Russell followed up his strong performance from Homestead last weekend to collect a 2nd place and a win! He was joined at the top of the leader board in a Spec Racer Ford field that ran 70 deep by John Jernigan who claimed a 5th and 11th place. Rounding out CCR’s participation, Derek Ketchie picked up 4th & 6th in FF and Bradley Zilisch finished 37th and 26th in a very deep 78 car Spec Miata field.
