About Us

Central Carolinas Region, or CCR for short, is one of 115 officially sanctioned regions in the national Sports Car Club of America. As of 2018 we’re the 16th largest club in the nation and are proud to have been recognized as “Jumbo Region of the Year” for 2017. We’re a member-run organization that’s been bringing together car enthusiasts and putting on races in various disciplines since 1960. Our By-Laws spell out the club’s goals:

  • Encourage the preservation, ownership and operation of sports cars
  • To act as a source of technical information
  • To provide and regulate events and exhibitions for sports cars and their owners
  • To encourage careful and skillful driving on public highways.

Each season CCR and its 830+ registered members put together 11+ Autocross and 3-4 Hill Climb and Track events drawing upwards of 200 drivers each. Come out and see what we’re all about. You don’t have to be a member to race, but there are some perks to joining the SCCA so be sure to check that out here: Join the Club!
